We all have them, those cravings for bad habits that kick in at times of stress. For me, it’s cigarettes, something to “dull the noise in my head” as an acquaintance of mine once put it. & there’s no better time to be tempted than when I’m finishing a piece of writing.
I could smoke a pack right now. Or just invite Justin over & have him light up in the study while I type. I’ll just have to comfort myself with the memory.
